Novamont and Lavazza announce biodegradable development

As the results of a 5 year research project, Novamont (a Materials Science company) and Lavazza have announced a compostable Italian espresso capsule, claiming as the first 100% Italian espresso compostable coffee capsule.

The capsule is made of “Mater-Bi 3G”, a material belonging to the third generation of Novamont bioplastics.
